  1. Update on Downtime

    Dont want anyone to think I fell off the earth's edge, so I am posting a little update.
    The right shoulder has been getting steadily worse, and interferes with sleep as well as training. This is unacceptable. The pain has started increasing and radiating into the back of the shoulder and even down my arm a little. On top of that my pain free ROM in raising my arm has decreased. Its not to the point of not being functional in my daily life, but it is definitely affecting my lifting life. ...

    Lifted at home, slept pretty good. Going at these 2 count pauses kinda cautiously, that is what I was doing when the piriformis went south. in August
    2 count pause Deadlift x3 to @8.5
    225x3@7.5
    245x3@8 1st rep was terrible, threw everything off
    255x3@8 maybe @7.5
    265x3@8 solid @8
    275x3@8.5 this is 85% of 1RM
    250x5@9 back seems to be tightening up

  5. Year 66, session 1, max

    Well after a evening of overeating at Red Lobster wif the missus, I am paying the price. You know the scene, like a feast in a medieval castle. More food! More drink! What's that guy eating? Brontosaurus leg! Bring me two of them! More food and drink!
    I am exaggerating a little, but when I got on the scale this morning it did not seem that way- 225! Thats 4 lbs in 2 days. Not quite lean an mean.
    So I have been thinking of maxing for a while. The last time was May 23 this year. ...
