Death Womens Marcus Peters Jersey , taxes, and theNew England Patriots...It was a roller coaster weekend for Gordon. It was announced on Saturday that he would be inactive for the Brownís week 2 game against the New Orleans Saints with no prior injury designation during the week. Then it was also announced that the Browns would be releasing Gordon by Monday. Due to Gordonís past, fan speculation was that he had failed yet another drug test. It was later announced that Gordon suffered a hamstring injury during a photoshoot, which seems like an extremely Cleveland Browns thing. But from the moment the Browns let their intentions known, they had dance partners for a trade. The Browns also sent a 7th-round pick to the Patriots, who are handing back a 5th-round pick. And because time is flat circle, the Patriots fittingly released WR Corey Coleman to make room for Gordon. Coleman was traded from the Browns earlier in the preseason to make room for Gordon on the roster.QB Carson Wentz cleared to playThe news couldnít have come at a better time for the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. On the heels of a surprising loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles is ranked 23rd among quarterbacks with a 61.1 rating on Pro Football Focus. Wentz, who tore his ACL against the Los Angeles Rams in December, was a large part of the reason the Eagles went off to an 11-2 start before being forced to turn to Foles. With RB Jay Ajayi uncertain to play this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts, Wentz may need to once again be the focal point of the offense.Minnesota Vikingsmake kicker switch; waive K Daniel Carlson, sign Dan BaileyDaniel Carlson went 0-3 on field goals, including 0-2 in overtime (which in itself included a 35-yard winner) against the Green Bay Packers in what ultimately turned into a 29-29 tie. The Vikings overcame a 20-7 4th quarter deficit to force overtime which would seemingly add more to the disappointment.Have no fear. Vikings HC Mike Zimmer handled subsequent questions about Carlsonís release with his usual poise and decency:The Vikings get the 2nd-most accurate kicker in NFL history in Bailey. Since being released by the Dallas Cowboys, he had turned down prior offers for what he considered ďthe right fit.Ē Based on the signing, one can only assume ďthe right fitĒ is a team that plays in a dome with plans on a deep playoff run. But with Baileyís resume, I suppose he can afford to be picky.Browns also flip kickers; waive K Zane Gonzalez, sign Greg JosephGonzalez, a seventh-round pick and human embodiment of Cleveland Browns football, was off to a rough 2018 campaign. He had a potential game-winning field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers get blocked ensuring a tie. His follow up performance against the Saints saw him leave eight points off the board with a 2-4 FG, 0-2 XP performance. One of the missed extra points came with 1:16 left in the game and would have given the Browns a 19-18 lead. Gonzalez then missed a 52-yard game-tying field goal with eight seconds left. His replacement, Joseph, was a rookie camp body for the Miami Dolphins and made all three of his attempts during the preseason.WR Antonio Brown uses his Twitter dot com accountAccording to his bio, this Ryan Scarpino guy did PR for the Steelers for the seven years leading up to this season. I donít know if his position really let him be ďtapped inĒ to the pulse of the team, but anyone with eyes can see that Brown is an all-world talent and not just a product of QB Ben Roethlisberger. On top of this tweet, Brown didnít attend practice on Monday, an unexcused absence according to HC Mike Tomlin. It isnít all doom-and-gloom in the Steel City just yet, as Brown may have just been letting off some steam for his audience of 1.25 million followers.Brown is reportedly frustrated with the Steelersí slow start and claims he cleared his absence with the coaching staff before not showing up on Monday:Side note: with LeíVeon Bell holding out, Brown frustrated Authentic Austin Blythe Jersey , and Ben being old, will the Killer Bís be replaced by the rhythm Jís (JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner, and Jesse James)? Sorry, thatís the best I can do.Los Angeles Chargers DL Corey Liuget sues former trainerLiuget is currently two games into his four-game suspension, the first in his seven years in the NFL. Liuget claims his failed drug test was a result of trainer Ian Danney misleading him with a substance he injected him with. Danney reportedly has ties to dozens of other NFL players.Buffalo Bills CB Vontae Davis retires at halftimeI want to include the link to Davis speaking on the subject because I believe itís only fair:This is perhaps the most polarizing story this week.To many, Davis abandoned his team, let the fans down and did something that falls somewhere between insider trading and kneeling in the Hiller Scale of Unforgivability鈩? A lot of jokes were made (mainly at the expense of how bad the Bills really are). Admittedly, it isnít a great look on Week 2, less than a month after the Bills made cut the roster down to 53, leaving people off that would have wanted to be there. But not everyone is wired the same way.Davis said it all came crashing during the opening defensive series. Who am I, or anyone not named Vontae Davis, to criticize how he feels? Coaches and players that buy into the system will talk out of both sides of their mouths; you need to be there for your brothers, but if you take plays off youíll be replaced by someone that wants to be there. So if Davis was truly done and had no desire to continue, what good does it do anyone for him to be out there? Iíll hop off my soapbox, but Iím almost always going to sympathize with the player. These guys are humans, not merely a means to an end.Iím happy to hear that Davis is looking back with no regrets and feeling good.2018 college football Week 7: Live thread, streaming, TV info So weíre about at the midpoint of the 2018 college football season and therefore halfway through the last season for the class coming into the 2019 NFL Draft. This week, letís look at things position-by-position and how the Los Angeles Rams could be looking at things.QBSo with Jared Goff, obviously a QB is off the table until Day 3. How early is too early for a backup QB? Bear in mind, current backup QB Sean Mannion was a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Would a third-round pick next year be too expensive? Perhaps for some, not so for others... That being said, take the top prospects out of the billing for the Rams. Theyíll be positioned as potential starters for QB1-needy teams and then situational QB2s for teams with a less solid QB1 situation as the Ramsí.So while people will be looking at the big game between #7 Washington and #17 Oregon with UW QB Jake Browning and UO QB Justin Herbert headlining things, take them out of the running for the Rams.Instead, look at someone like Michigan St. QB Brian Lewerke in action against the #8 Penn St. Nittany Lions in the midday goings with PSU QB Trace McSorley an even deeper option. Another fun scout watch? Iowa St. QB Kyle Kempt hosting the #6 West Virginia Mountaineers and QB Will Grier.Hipsterwatch? Boise St. QB Brett Rypien, the nephew of former NFL QB Mark Rypien, among the final slate of games playing in Reno against Nevada.RBCan we just stop for a bit?The Rams have taken six running backs in the last seven drafts. We have Todd Gurley. We have John Kelly who despite looking very strong in the preseason has been relegated to the deep backend of the 53-man roster. So now that weíve locked up JTG for the long-term future http://www.losangelesramsteamonline....saffold-jersey , can we uh...just skip this?If I had to throw a name out there, check out Memphis Tigers RB Darrell Henderson on ESPN2/ABC against the UCF Knights in a rematch of last yearís INCREDIBLE American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game that ended 62-55 in double OT. Henderson is a Zac Stacy clone, so heís destined to be a Day 3 pick that makes some fanbase happy providing capable talent on the cheap.WRWhile a bit different of a situation than running back for its low position value, the Rams are still operating with a full cupboard at WR. Day 3 options then?Could the Rams be interested in smaller options for situational usage? Ohio State Buckeyes WR Johnnie Dixon would be a fair candidate as tOSU hosts Minnesota. Maybe check back later in the season when Urban Meyerís guys have some tougher competition.Otherwise, this seems like deep roster prodding. Maybe MSU WR Felton Davis III if youíre checking out that Big Ten matchup.TEI dunno what to make of the tight end position as a draft need. The Rams have second-year, second-round 2017 NFL Draft pick Gerald Everett and 2016 NFL Draft fourth-round pick Tyler Higbee manning things.Should we consider a first-round pick to be in play late in the round? Perhaps, right?Itís the tight end position, so itís not going to offer a ton of talent into Round 1. Iowa TE Noah Fant is probably the top prospect and maybe carrying stock into the non-playoff picks. After that...take your pick. In fact, letís table this and re-visit it in a couple of weeks.OLGo to town. You could scout any position with sincerity outside of right tackle.Iíll just point to the evening game between the #15 Wisconsin Badgers and #12 Michigan Wolverines. Scout both lines. And if youíre getting wacky, get a look at both QBs too. Yes, Michigan QB Shea Patterson carries more hype, but Alex Hornibrook would be a low buy option that could bring just as much as Mannion to the table for way less.DLThis oneís a little hard to parse. Rams Defensive Coordinator likes to move his linemen all over the place (Oh look, thereís Ndamukong Suh playing right next to a cornerback!). And with Suh gone next year and Michael Brockers perhaps moving on after next year, some Day 3 action could be in order. Of course, the Rams began prepping for that adding John Franklin-Myers and Sebastian Joseph-Day , so perhaps weíre good here for a season.Obviously weíre not angling for Houston Cougars DL Ed Oliver or anything at the top of the draft, but maybe Rams GM Les Snead plays BPA for someone on Day 3. I mentioned the Wisconsin game. Maybe get a look at Olive Sagapolu? Heís a big, big dude with strange, strange agility for his size:EDGENow weíre talking. This is another one we should probably table until we can do a deep dive on its own especially because some clear Round 1 options arenít in action. Both Mississippi St. Bulldogs EDGE Montez Sweat and Florida St. Seminoles EDGE Brian Burns are on bye weeks. At this point, Iíll leave it to a scouting question for us to check out tonight. Is Oregon EDGE Jalen Jelks a prospect who will be gone before the third round? I donít mean to ask that for reactions to his game tonight. A three-sack game doesnít make him a first-round prospect nor does a bad game relegate him to deep Day 3 status. I just wonder if heís the kind of guy who could be in play for the Rams as a rookie starting Week 1 next year.ILBUgh. Give me #13 LSU LB Devin White and be done with it.Heíll be gone before we pick, so please just put him outside the NFC West. Get a look in at him as the Tigers host the #2 Georgia Bulldogs in a wonderful SEC contest today.Outside of Devin...nope. Canít do it. Not yet.Miss you already, Dev.CBFun consideration here. The Marcus Peters-Aqib Talib pairing expires after next season as things stand.Think about it like this.If Georgia CB Deandre Baker is there when the Rams pick in Round 1, he has to be an option. And if thatís the case, the doorís open for the CB depth chart at any point.Letís throw a bone to the USC Trojans fans with CB Iman Marshall going up against #19 Colorado in the Coliseum tonight.Need an early watch? Check out Sneadís alma mater as #21 Auburn hosts Tennessee early on; Auburn CB Jamel Dean looks a player.SThis certainly is in the works with Lamarcus Joynerís franchise tag expiring.Iím inclined to throw this in with ILB and EDGE for deeper observation (and perhaps with CB and TE too).USC fans will stan for Marvell Tell III and rightfully so.Want a fun combo today? Check out Missouri Tigers TE Al Okwuegbunam try to get free past #1 Alabama Crimson Tide S Deionte Thompson.Washington S Taylor Rapp is legit too.Hereís an early-late duo for the safety fans. #14 Florida Gators S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson against Vanderbilt to start the day; Wyoming Cowboys S Andrew Wingard at Fresno St. to close things out.Hereís your watch guide with full schedule, TV listing and stream options.
