Did a 'speed deadlift' here again in the name of avoiding any rib issues again, underloading, working on my set up and generally building some momentum.

Back Squat wo/belt - x5
220kg x 5
220kg x 5
220kg x 5 right quad locked up a little here, wanted another couple of sets

Deadlift +black mini - 10x1
195kg - 45 secs rest between sets and with the squat bar

RDL's - x10

I had some more work done on my torn bicep so was a little sore. probably not the best day to get the slingshot out for the first time since tearing my scalenes in it about a year ago.

Slingshot Pause Bench - x3

200kg x 2 got a little nervous of my bicep here so shut it down.

Incline Pause Bench - x8

100kg x 8 too sore to do any heavier with this, incline

So it turns out that i've have torn/damaged my bicep short head tendon at the proximal end, under the delt, near the attachment. This explains a lot. If i think back i can remember possibly hearing something under my delt while doing seated military press as long a 9 months ago. It would certainly explain the excruciating pain while trying to hold the bar at the bottom of a military press and huge discomfort while bench pressing. It was just not getting better. After popping my rib last week i wasn't sure how things would go today. I decided to stiff leg deadlift light and my squat is still below a level where it's even worth an RPE. My working weight of 220kgx3 has been hit for x12 in the past so i was just looking to make it feel good, hit good form, avoid any tweaks and move forward from last week.
