From what you are saying I would think that your bar path might not be straight. Reverse bands have the opposite effect, if you get out of the groove they kind of pull you back in. Maybe more useful as an overload, but less improvement of technique.
Could be an issue with my bar path I havent recorded myself in a while. I will say the knee wraps did feel more natural but I will need a less intence wrap to be able to get reps in without losing the feeling in my legs lol. I night give the reverse bands another shot in the furure maybe I set them up wrong idk.
